What is chelation?
Chelation therapy is a medical treatment to rid the body of heavy metals from the blood, like lead, mercury, cadmium, calcium, etc. It can also be used for severe poisoning with radioactive elements. Sometimes, it is also used for thalassemia (iron accumulation in the blood). The doctor uses EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetate). In this chemical process, these metals are bound to the EDTA and then removed from the body via the kidneys. Chelation therapy takes care of the Ca/Mg balance in the cells.
What does EDTA do?

What else do you need to know about chelation therapy/plax therapy?

Chelation, as part of prevention, requires a schedule of 15 - 20 infusions at a frequency of 1 every 14 days. For urgent treatment or pain, a max. of 2 infusions per week.

Chelation can be used preventively and in preparation for other treatments, which will favourably influence the outcome of those treatments.

Chelation therapy and plax therapy are therapies against vasoconstriction that can be alternated, if necessary, for a better final result.
