Why liposuction or liposculpture?
Persistent fat deposits can make you feel that your body is not in harmony. Unwanted fat can appear on the hips (love handles), knees, thighs, arms, neck and chin, abdomen, neck, upper arms, etc. These localised fat deposits are difficult to remove through diet and exercise, where you are more likely to lose weight in unwanted areas, such as your breasts or face. Liposuction can then be a solution to change the body shape and bring it back into harmony. Liposuction offers permanent results: the removed fat cells do not return.
What is liposuction?
Liposuction is a procedure aimed at improving your body shape and appearance. In literal terms, liposuction means sucking away (suction) fat (lipo). Liposuction is a treatment in which we use suction needles to aspirate fat. Liposuction can be performed on the whole body, but it is most often performed on the abdomen and flanks (love handles), thighs, knees and arms.

Liposuction is not a slimming cure
Liposuction is not a slimming cure. If you have excess fat all over your body, liposuction alone will not solve your problem. However, it can be an incentive to diet better and exercise more.
Liposuction or liposculpture
Liposuction is also known as liposculpture or body sculpting. It actually means the same thing, although liposuction is considered the precursor of liposculpture. Indeed, originally, liposuction used large 10-12 mm 'suction tubes', which allowed only deeper fat to be sucked up. Thanks to the new, advanced techniques of liposculpture, fat removal is now done much more efficiently with finer cannulas of 2-3-4 mm.

Why does Delta Clinic use PAL?
We use PAL (Power Assisted Liposuction) or laser liposuction, a revolutionary liposuction technique to remove deep and superficial fat cells. Through intense vibrations, fat is loosened, aspirated in a liquid state and drained through thin cannulas. This stimulates the skin and causes new collagen to form, with a lifting effect of the skin created in part by a bipolar frequency field. The vibrational action speeds up the work, reducing the amount of force required to remove fat and shape the treatment area. This makes the procedure faster and more efficient, after which recovery is also smoother, with less bruising and swelling.
Our approach
-
Consultation with correct and professional advice: During the consultation, a decision is made on whether liposuction or liposculpture is the right treatment for you. The problem areas are gone over, and your expectations are assessed. Your general health and intake of medication are also examined. Blood thinners, such as aspirin, should be stopped at least 7 days in advance. If necessary, you should switch to Fraxiparine or something similar.
-
Analgo-Sedation: Sedation medication is light with few side effects and is administered and monitored by an experienced anaesthetist. A physiological fluid containing a local anaesthetic is first injected subcutaneously with a cannula via mini-cuts of 2-3 mm. This liquefies the fat cells and numbs the underlying tissues. This fluid also contains adrenaline in small concentrations to minimise bleeding. This local anaesthetic lasts for about 10 hours, so you will hardly experience any discomfort on the first day. You may take a painkiller before bedtime.
-
During the procedure: Blood vessels and lymphatic structures are not stressed during liposuction. Up to 3-4 litres of fat extraction is a minimal strain on the body. With higher amounts, you run more risks, so it is best reserved for hospitals where postoperative monitoring can be done in mid-care.
-
After the procedure: It is best not to exercise for the first 4 weeks, and you should wear a supportive sports bra for 6 weeks, preferably day and night. This allows the skin to regain its original elasticity.
-
Lasting result: With our modern liposculpture, you undergo safe treatment with lasting results. Fat cells are permanently removed, and there are few risks involved. Expect minimal blood loss, few ecchymoses (bruises) and hardly any tissue damage.

Cost of liposuction
Incl. VAT

Small areas, such as the chin: € 450

Liposuction 1st zone: from € 1150

Liposuction 2nd and 3rd zones: from € 900 per zone
According to the size and number of zones, the cost is also determined. Pricing for a zone is based on extracting 600 to 800 ml of fat. Usually, 3 zones are treated, where we extract between 2,000 & 3,000 ml of fat. Depending on body weight, up to 3 litres of fat is removed. Liposuction or liposculpture is not reimbursed by the health insurance fund.
Why choose liposuction at Delta Clinic?
The prices of liposuction vary enormously. Thus, you will undoubtedly be presented with different prices. At Delta Clinic, you can be sure of fair prices, regardless of the body part to be treated. Here, we use the most advanced technology, such as vibro-liposuction or PAL. Moreover, the analgo-sedation during the procedure is performed by an experienced anaesthetist and not by a nurse without any training in this field, which is still done in many clinics.
